I tried using win32diskimages several times on different PC's and then tried dd for Windows, found here both without success. Finally booted from an Ubunte Live CD and followed the procedure as described. After that it worked like a charm. Don't try to write the recovery image from within a Windows ...

So, i have a recovery image with the correct MD5 sum, I have a brand new working USB Flash Drive of 16GB and used both version 0.1 r15 and 0.2 r23 of the win32diskimager to write the image to the Flash Drive. for some reason, when I'm booting from USB stick (Kingston 16GB) i am getting a grub error 2 during boot. In fact that is all it says: Loading Grub... Error 2 Any idea what might be the problem here? Button presses on the remote are now registered in Eventghost, but it will time to configure it to work in applications... Can Eventghost be closed or does it have to stay active in the task bar for it to function properly?

Which drivers are you using for the display adapter? I have the default that Windows 7 uses.

That's excellent. Seems to be installing fine.
However, an orignal Microsoft MCE remote does not seem to be doing anything on the IR port. Am I missing something here?
