OCZ SSD problems on Linux due to all_generic_ide
Hi everybody, I'm posting about a *solved* problem I've had using OCZ SSD on the Fit-PC2 together with Debian GNU/Linux 5 (Lenny). It worked perfectly well with an ordinary WD hard-drive. It always booted with all_generic_ide as a kernel parameter. I've replicated the root partition of the WD drive ...

Re: Dual ethernet
Of course another Ethernet port would be nice, but I think that you will be equally pleased with the performance using a usb-to-Ethernet adapter. There are other boards out there (which we shall not discuss in-depth because it's against the forum rules :) that have more than one Ethernet port, but h...

Sadly that's not a simple matter, as the drivers' source is not openly available. This affects not only the Fit-PC, but some new netbooks (Like Dell's 12" and Sony Vaio P). There's a story that details the situation of the drivers from 3 months ago: http://www.happyassassin.net/2009/01/30/intel-gma-...

Re: Which wired/wireless card on fit-pc2?
I join the ranks of people curious about the Fit-PC2's ability to operate in master mode, needed to set it up as an AP. With this, it will be the ultimate combination of AP + NAS gateway + router + BitTorrent client. (I own a Fit-PC Slim, very pleased with everything about it. The wifi on that one i...

Re: ethernet over usb
Hello,
I've used a generic usb to ethernet adapter on a Fit-PC Slim, without a problem.
I think it depends on O/S support rather than hardware.
