I think we all know Linux and the Intel GMA 500 adapter are not good friends, and it seems that Ubuntu 8.04 out of box just works with the F2PC2 GMA500, but what if we want to upgrade, or use other UNIX variants? For what it is worth, I'm happily using Ubuntu 8.04 installed from Canonical's CD, no special drivers, and regular Ubuntu-supplied updates, and the resolution is fine. I happen to be using the July BIOS.
