Re: Ubuntu 9.10 supported

Apart from the system hangs and freezes, what are your further experiences with running mythbuntu on your fit PC box?: - any experience with the performance when watching and recording live analogue TV? I don't actually use it for live TV. I am running Mythbuntu 9.10 and using it for watching video...

Re: Ubuntu 9.10 supported

Thanks Denis.

But how do I resolve this?

I have set the power management settings so that the PC should be "always on". How is it then going into suspend or hibernate?

Re: Ubuntu 9.10 supported

I am experiencing fairly regular system hangs/freezes running Mythbuntu 9.10 (using the additional installation instructions from this thread). I have set my power management settings so that the pc does not go into any powersave type mode when it is idle. If I come back to the mcahine a couple of h...

Re: Mythbuntu 9.10 - mplayer does not start.

Cool. I've tried a few different HTPC set ups so far with this bit of kit (Boxee, XBMC. MythTv) and the best that I have found so far is Mythbuntu running MythTV launching Mplayer as the external media player for .avi, .mp4, .mkv etc (which then takes advantage of vaapi). I have also amended the mai...

Re: Mythbuntu 9.10 - mplayer does not start.

I have Mythbuntu 9.10 installed and have Mplayer working. Are you are trying to launch mplayer from mythtv? They have changed it all. The default player is now the internal player. You can still go in and set myth to use mplayer as your player, however, anything being played from one of the storage ...

Success installing 8.10 and boxee! Need help with mplayer va

Ok, I managed to install 8.10 out of the box and then the poulsbo drivers from the ubuntu-mobile repository. This allows me to run a good install of boxee which plays videos and flash content such as youtube. However, I'm not getting greedy...I still want to be able to play HD videos but I can't see...

Anyone had any success with 8.10? Boxee problems

I am having terrible trouble getting Boxee to work with the fit-pc2. If I use 8.04 then boxee wont play online content (youtube etc), if I use 9.04 then online content works ok but downloaded movies do not, they are all pink and green and unwatchable. The only option I haven't tried is 8.10 but I ca...

Getting remote control working

Hi Guys, I've had my Fit-pc2 for a few days now and am primarily interested in using it as a HTPC running Boxee. I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 following the guide on the Wiki and have now also got Boxee up and running. Now, time to use a remote control so I can get rid of the clunky USB keyboard.... ...
