Re: Ubuntu 9.10 install issues
Try to add your monitor characteristics in the Monitor section of the xorg.conf file : HorizSync 31.0 - 80.0 VertRefresh 50.0 - 70.0 Use the values you'll find in the user manual of your monitor. On my side, I had to add the Mode line corresponding to my monitor, AND the above lines. And then it wor...

Same for me : writer (and calc as well) crash. I'm currently upgrading to 9.10, just to check what happens (apart from loosing hardware acceleration for mplayer ).

Re: Ubuntu recovery image now available
I faced exactly the same problem, trying to build the r8168 network driver. That could be that I got it. I installed linux-headers-2.6.24-34-386, linux-headers-2.6.24-34, and linux-image-2.6.24-34-386, from fit PC2 PPA. Then, it was possible to build r8168. I'm now checking possible side-effects (f...

I am not a linux expert, but is this a common problem or a problem with the image? I faced ...

Flash videos
I guess I'll order a fit-PC2 as soon as it is available. But meanwhile, I'm just wondering about capability of the ubuntu version at displaying Flash videos, like the ones from YouTube for instance. On my current configuration (ubuntu 8.10, VIAC7 + CN700), display of streaming flash videos is very j...
SATA/PATA
Hello,
I'm far from being really knowledgeable about Intel chipsets, nor about PATA/SATA. But it seems that US15WCH provides support for PATA only, not for SATA. Does it mean there is a kind of PATA/SATA converter on motherboard?
Best regards,
Pascal.
