I just installed Windows 7 and as you said, DXVA works here. And since it runs remarkably well (with Aero disabled), I'm going to use that. The Intel drivers + MPC-HC do the job very good (at not too high resolutions)
Fit-PC2 is an awesome little box

Windows XP h264 DXVA hardware decoding fix?
Hi, I got my Fit-PC 2 yesterday and it's already running XP SP3. Now I ran into a pretty serious issue since I'm going to run my Fit-PC 2 as HTPC/file server, hooked up to our beamer. It is thus essential to play HD files. The problem is that as soon as I want to playback a h264 video with DXVA hard...

Re: Just got my Fit-PC2: Questions & thoughts
Wow awesome, thanks, that does shine some light on everything.
One problem though: them video drivers + h264 hardware decoding gives BSOD... I read about this somewhere else, but the thread was dated some months back so I hoped it would've been fixed by now. Is there a solution to this?

Just got my Fit-PC2: Questions & thoughts
Hi! My Fit-PC2 just arrived that I intend to use as HTPC. I slammed in an 30GB Kingston SSD and stared toying with it. Now I have a couple of questions and issues. I used google and this forum on every term I didn't understand immediately and issue I had. (it's running Windows XP SP3) BIOS: - What a...

Re: USB Harddrive standby?
Hi,
Thanks for replying! From what you tell I think I can be sure that the Fit-PC 2 hardware supports sleeping USB Harddrives. So win2k3 should support it too.
Only question remains whether connecting the hard drives via a hub will have the same results.

USB Harddrive standby?
Hi, I'm planning on buying a Fit-PC 2 for use as HTPC/file serving server. This will involve hooking it up to about 6 external USB hard drives (3 via an USB hub and 3 on the main hub). Because this computer will be on 24/7 it is essential for those hard drives to go to sleep when they are not needed...
