IR detector

I've noticed that when I use a regular IR remote control around the Intense PC, the logo flashes - even if it is turned off. Is there an IR detector in there? That would be really useful, as I'm using the PC as a media center. I can't find anything about it in the Windows Control Panel. Hints or ins...
