Mini SD Card not detected

Post by masada42 »

I recently had to reinstall Windows XP SP3 using the "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition for Ultra Low Cost PCs" disc included with my Fit-PC2.

I was able to successfully download and install the drivers for the wifi card, ethernet card, audio card, etc., using the drivers found below:

http://www.fit-pc2.com/download/xp-drivers/

For some reason however, the mini SD card slot has stopped working for me. I've tried two different non SDHC mini SD cards and I've found that they show up in device manager with an exclamation mark and a code 10 error. In diskmgmt.msc in Windows, the card does not even show up as a drive. The SD cards work fine on two other laptops I own that run Windows 7 and Ubuntu respectively. All of the info that I've found on other message boards indicates that if I can find the latest drivers for the mini SD card device used in the Fit-PC2, that it should solve the problem.

I apologize if any similar posts have been made in the past, but the search function for this forum doesn't let me use common keywords like "SD card", "driver", "card slot", etc.

Would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I have already downloaded "xp-chipset-090930.zip" and I ran the setup file and rebooted but the problem still persists. I also tried to update the driver manually through device manager by specifying the "ALL" folder contained in the zip file. Is there any other information I can provide about my system to figure out why this isn't working?
