5x Fit-PC2i & 5x Intel SSD(330) blue screen/no disk detected

I have 5 Fits, and 5 SSDs running windows7 pro.
All of them will allow me to install windows, and run windows updates.

At first it seemed when the Ethernet drivers were installed, upon reboot i would get a "no disk detected"

After rebooting the machine, BIOS will show me 0 drives attached.

Reboot again,... BIOS will show the Intel SSD.

So the issue of crashing, or appearing to sleep, or bluescreen seem to be related to the harddrive.

Has anybody come across similar issues or BIOS settings that may fix this?

*SSD firmware is up to date.
*BIOS version is listed as most current on the Fit-PC website.

Ok, im my professional opinion this IS a bug.
I am using standard hardrives & do not see the issue.

I look forward to a fix from the vendor.

SSD incompatibility.

We're not familiar with such issues.

Anyway please note that all modern SSD use a SATA (2.0 or 3.0) connection running at much higher rates (3 Gbps or 6 Gbps) than fit-PC2i can support.

fit-PC2i is a mature, if not to say old product, that supports up to 800 Mbps of Parallel ATA (it has SATA to PATA bridge).

So incompatibility issues may exist, mainly due to much more modern SSD devices (not due to fit-PC2).

I would recommend using HDD instead of SSD with your fit-PC2. Either way you're limited to fit-PC PATA controller data rates.
As you say HDD has no issues.

Was this problem ever figured out? I have a FIT-PC2i that I've been using about a year now, it came with a 2.5" SATA (Renice X1 32gig SSD).

I get the same problem.. every now and again when I reboot from windows, the BIOS Fails to detect the drive and hangs on a black screen "missing operating system" (the bios failed to see the drive as well) .. usually a hard power-down and power-on fixes this, but sometimes it requires several reboots.

I am pretty good with computers but have not been able to figure out this problem, thinking either a faulty SSD drive, or faulty internal connection?

As answered in other post, please try a clean OS installation and other storage drive to identify the problem. If happens with another drive please RMA.
