Audio Problem - Intense PC

Post by ronywin8 »

Hello to all,

I have an audio issue that is driving me crazy and have no idea how to fix it.

All my drivers are fine and updated, everything is OK. I can also see the sound working, going up and down in the volume mixer BUT I DON'T hear any sounds at all!

I'm connected via HDMI to a Sony Bravia LCD, the TV's setup is ok and tried several hdmi cables so that's not the problem also.

I tried connecting analogic sound and didn't work as well, but I did hear something at a really low volume with a lot of static noise. Then I installed the patch I found here at the forum and started working fine but still hearing annoying static noise when sounds are not playing.

I tried Windows 7, and now Windows 8 but no luck, so I'm losing my mind. So in conclusion, it's the digital audio that doesn't work now.

I saw Gabriel always finds a way to help everyone, so I hope that you or maybe someone else could help me.

I really appreciate it a lot,
Thanks!

Hello Rony

I see you have two issues.
1. You are unable to get an analog audio output
2. You also lack an HDMI audio

First of all let's deal with an analog sound. What is the device is connected to the IntensePC analog output? Do you use a headphones or a computer speakers set?

Hi Gabriel,

I do get analog sound after installing the patch that you uploaded here to some other user. I have a regular speakers set connected, the thing is that I constantly hear a strange static noise.

HDMI sound is completely disabled.

Please connect your HDMI device and restart the IntensePC. Open the Sound properties \ Playback tab, and look for an HDMI device. Right click on it to set it as a default device. Check the sound

Still no sound.

The device I checked goes by the name "Realtek Digital Output" and has a little black receiver picture icon.

That is strange. You should see an HDMI device in the list of audio devices. I suggest you to try another quality HDMI cable, and look for an HDMI device in the list

Hi Gabriel,

I tried two more HDMI cables with no luck.

Do you have any HDMI audio registry patches like the analog one you posted?

Thanks.
