no video out on new fitlet

I just received a fitlet in the mail today - I'm very excited to play with the product!!!

Unfortunately, I am not getting any video out on the hdmi1 cable.

This is a fitlet-x-lan barebone. I have not yet installed any ram or msata device, so it is "right out of the box".

I plugged in the hdmi cable, a usb keyboard, and then the power.

The power light on the front comes on green. If I hold the power button for about 10 seconds the light turns yellow. I can toggle it again to go green.

Through all of that, there is no video displayed on the monitor.

I'm assuming I would get the bios or some boot text to allow me to view the bios, even without any ram or msata installed.

Pretty sure you need at least the ram installed for it to do anything at all beyond lighting the LED. Green and yellow just mean power on and off.

I had a similar problem even with ram installed. The LED would light, and change colors, but no video signal. Tried reinstalling the ram and ssd. Nothing. Tried again a few more times and finally got the ram in right apparently since it then worked and has been solid since.

I can confirm that - after installation of ram and ssd everything is working fine so far!
