High (1.5V) voltage DDR support

Post by Londo »

Just want to report the following:

I have been using 8Gb 1.5V DDR3 (not DDR3L) on a fitlet now for weeks without any problems (and I have been using the PC a lot lately, doing intensive stuff). The name of the ram is
"Kingston 8GB KFJ-FPC3B/8G DDR3 1333MHz"

I dont know why it is working so well, but it does, so there you have it.

Some of the Kingston RAM is dual voltage. Meaning it will work at 1.5 volts and 1.35
volts. All 3 of my Kingston RAM, (in SO-DIMM form facter), are such. See this thread;

It is likely that true 1.5 volt only memory will not work with fitlet models due to the SoC,
(System on a Chip), not supporting them.
