Post BIOS chip type & ME usage
Hi,

An uncommon question here. What kind of chip / package is the flash chip storing BIOS for AirTop? SOIC-8 SPI?

Also, can you tell me if AirTop uses Intel ME for thermal management or if it's done with seperate embedded controller?

My hope is to reflash with external programmer after running me_cleaner[0] (I understand this will void the warranty and is at my own risk).

Hi,

The SPI flash chip is in package WSON-5x6.

The thermal management uses intel ME for thermal management, and uses embedded controller as a thermal management interface to the CPU.
