Hello,

as there isn't yet any hardware specifications doc for ipc3 i7 barebone, is it possible to detail a bit more the storage possibilities.
Indeed, it is specified the following :
1x SATA up to 6 Gbps (SATA 3.0) for internal 2.5” HDD/SSD
2x mSATA slot up to 6 Gbps (SATA 3.0)
1x M.2 B-key slot

does it mean we can have 4 storage devices at the same time ?
would you have any example of storage combination ?

Thanks

There was a typo in spec - it is one mSATA instead of two :

Yes, absolutely. These are independent SATA ports and you can have all 3 installed. True in all our computers.
mSATA located on FM-USB3 module in front of the PC.

I just installed an mSata disk in the standard FM-USB3 slot on the IPC3. It is a simple process but it takes a little more effort than the M.2 or Sata slot. Perhaps you could publish a description in the Owners Manual::Maintenance or the IPC3 gallery? The Owners Manual::Maintenance does not encourage you to go beyond the service bay.

Here's a very short description (assuming that you are already EMC safe):
1) Open the service door to remove any Sata disk.
2) Remove the four remaining screws on the outside of the IPC2/3.
3) Carefully remove the bottom plate
4) Remove the single screw that holds the FM-USB3 card
5) Carefully remove the FM-USB3 card

Now you have full access to the MSata port.

Regarding to the topic, I have problem with msata get work, check it in this post.

The IPC3 is C7200, latest revision/bios, FMUSB3 version is 2.2

Somehow it does not work, msata ssd does not appear in the bios under the Sata section.

Thanks for you help!
