HDMI / DVI: Just to Check...

Post by tsuki_chama »

In various threads I've seen reference to DVI-over-HDMI and people having issues connecting the fit-PC to TVs.

I realise there's no audio out of the fit-PC's HDMI connector, but are the video lines the proper ones for a standard HDMI connection, or is it just that an HDMI connector has been used to save space but the actual pins aren't used for the same things as they are in the HDMI standard?

In other words, if I plug a single HDMI cable fit-PC-to-TV, will I get video? Does my TV need to support a special DVI-over-HDMI mode for this? Or will I have to shell out for adapters to convert it to VGA?

Connect fit-PC2 to your TV with a standard HDMI cable and you should see the picture. Video signaling is the same as in HDMI.
