 It's dead Jim!
I think my Fit-PC2i may have died recently. It was supposed to have been preinstalled with Linux Mint, but for some reason the SSD was blank. I've used it a few times with a USB key (Ubuntu LiveCD) and it was working well. I'm pretty certain I installed Ubuntu last month too, ready to set it up properly.
I got everything set up at the weekend, only to find that the unit won't load up.
Trying to load from the SSD just gives me a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left hand corner. Trying to boot from a liveCD in an external CD drive gives the same result.
Trying to boot form a USB key starts to load but then stops with "Stopping System V runlevel compatibility" (I've tried three different versions of linux all with the same result).
All the devices are correctly located by the bios and all the bios settings appear to be correct and have not been altered since it was last used.
Does this mean it's entirely dead, or can it be resuscitated?
