 VideoLAN with VA API
Hi,
I want to get VLC to use the VA API on my fitpc2 under Karmic. How can I get that done?
I've got the 1.1GHz and can't play much movie files... My common CPU consumption is around 50-80%! Is that normal? I followed the instructions from the Ubuntu wiki page of your forum.
I eventually play some video files with mplayer. It stops often due to some error. PCF's Miro plays more files without errors or giggles but is way too big to play smoothly on my HW. VLC is now my best friend, still it cannot REALLY play accelerated files....
What is the option to check so that VLC'll use GMA500's capabilities?
