Using a remote control

Post by pellib »

Hello,

Maybe I'm dead wrong but I thought I might ask. Can I control the Fit-PC2 using a Harmony remote ?

If I wanted to program an activity starting the TV and the Fit-PC2 using the Harmony remote. Harmony control

There shouldn't be any problem controlling fit-PC2 with a programmable remote. You can also program the fit-PC2 itself and use a non-programmable remote.
In Linux we recommend LIRC for receiving remote control commands.
In Windows XP we recommend EventGhost.

Did anybody get the IR to work under Windows with a Harmony Remote? If someone has a solution for this please post how you achieved it, would appreciate.

cheers

I second the motion for some directions on how to set up a Harmony remote. Through the Logitech Harmony setup software, choosing CompuLab Fit-pc2 gives you a message that the hardware is not supported.

You may program the Harmony for another media-player and then program EventGhost on fit-PC2 to emulate that player's commands.
