Post Display Corruption
Hi,
When trying to play a 720p MKV file, the display does not seem to get cleared properly between frames, the result can be seen in the screenshot attached.

I am using the Cyberlink codec and MPC.

Post Re: Display Corruption
- Is it specific to this video, or on all videos?
- Does it happen with alternative codecs / player?

If you have a downloadable legitimate video that exhibits this behavior we would like to check that.

Hmm, not legitimate, but an anime fansub which is a grey area. This is the only 720p content I have to test right now, do you have any sample MP4/MKVs?

- Trailers for most films. I like to test with "300" trailers - http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.php?id=300 (.mov)

Make sure to use Haali Matroska splitter when playing back .mkv files.

Big Buck Bunny 1080p played fine with a tiny bit of framedrop.

Only Big Buck Bunny plays.
ALL other 720p content causes a BSOD!

Not happy.

Please describe your the procedure of installation - from fit-PC2 model to which SW was installed.
For reference -
fit-PC2 XP HD
Installation of k-lite 5.0.x
Never experienced a BSOD on this setup and played many types.

Is the BSOD deterministic - same video same time?

I have the XP HD version, installed Media Player Classic and the Haali splitter. I am trying Windows 7 on it now as after updating the Intel driver the system would not boot any more.

For your purpose of media playback XP HD gives better performance than Win7 (for the time being).
- Make sure to backup the CyberLink codecs
- Your BSOD is likely due to the MPC-HC which is not fully stable in the latest version. We recommend using CodecGuide k-lite (which incorporates haali splitter and a stable MPC-HC). CodecGuide has a fit-PC2 and the k-lite versions since 4.9.5 are tested with fit-PC2.
