Within Ubuntu 9.10 and firefox alot of webpages turn partly black (this forum as well, all headers and links have black background.
Furthermore within mplayer HD videos make the screen "flickering" (is this english?)
Anybody facing this problems too?
Thanks,
Peter
browsing - partly black pages
Re: browsing - partly black pages
Hi,
Firefox indeed displays some pages incorrectly (black patterns), Opera and Chrome browsers works fine.
Regarding mplayer flickering - we tested it on 1900x1200 display, 1080p HD trailer was played without any issues. May be you have some heavy processes in background that stress the system? Can you give link to your video that cause flickering?

Re: browsing - partly black pages
Hi Denis,
I can confirm with opera there are no black pages anymore.
Regarding the mplayer hd files flickering:
One example file
ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/spezial/crawford.mpg
I have a plain 9.10 installation without any addiontal background service running.
Thanks.
Peter

Tested your video on 1280x1050 and 1680x1050 displays, playing smoothly. If you run from command line may be it prints some related errors or warnings?
