Wireless dropping connection in 9.10

Post by elliott2 »

I've installed 9.10 and it seems to be working well with the exception of the wireless. I've installed 8.04 LTS and WinXP and the wireless work fine it both of them with no drop outs. When I run 9.10 the wireless will connect for a few minutes and then drop connection. I've been able to install all the updates from Fit-PC2.com and for the OS as well but it took a few tries. Any ideas or pointers on what I should do to fix this? I'm currently on the 8.04 version and have not had any problems. The only thing that I've noticed is that the signal strength bars on 9.10 seem to float up and down just before the disconnect. On 8.04 this does not happen and the signal strength hovers around 86% to 100% over the span of about a hour and in 9.10 it hovers around 47% to 100% over the span of about 1 minute. Is there any radio settings that need to be adjusted. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Tim
