Unetbootin is cool - but Mandriva 2009 and 2010 is not supported (same as Ubuntu 9.04)

they have a nice tool: mandriva-seed to transfer the iso to an usb-stick.

also look here:

for gnome mandrive 2010rc2 has out of the box working support for the poulsbo chipset.

has anyone found a post, review, blog where it's explained how mandriva has pulled this off with on-disk support (WITHOUT a proprietary driver, if applicable...)?

Hi

Could anyone tell me the a specific image to use. I have tried with the image "mandriva-linux-one-2010.0-GNOME-europe-americas-cdrom-i586.iso" from official site. Booting from usb and get the graphical boot. But it goes black after a while. when pressing esc for verbose mode, I can see it's loading some stuff but then it says

>starting display manager
>_

And my screen goes black...

Any help would be appriciated, I'm really looking forward to testing the poulsbo driveer on mandriva.

(i can boot the image on my laptop)

I have the same problem as zaphod mentiones.

Also when I discovered that it didn't work I wanted to format the USB stick on my Win XP Pro pc.
I popped the USB stick in and it now shows as a 695 MB stick and not the 8 GB stick that it is.

What do I do to get my USB stick back to normal?

the rest of the flash drive was not formatted, which is why it looks so small... pop it in a linux machine and use gparted to delete the partition there and make a new one...

try and let us know what happens...

I don't have a computer running any type of Linux right now so I used my XP Pro installation disc to format the stick.
Worked fine.
