 Fedora 8 on Fit-PC2
Hi all,
I'm trying to install fedora 8 on a fit-pc2 but the setup doesn't find my disk. I read many threads regarding similar problems but they don't solve my issue. Who suggests "modprobe pata-sch", I've tried without success. Can someone suggest me a solution? Thank you very much, Davide

 Re: Fedora 8 on Fit-PC2
Fedora 8 based on 2.6.24 kernel which does not have pata_sch module yet. Try more recent version of Fedora.

 Re: Fedora 8 on Fit-PC2
Thank you for your reply. In my installation is important that version of fedora remain the same 'cause I've a driver of a particular usb device that works fine on this fedora (8) and not in newer. I'm trying to replace the pc of my actual installation with a new one (with less consumption, fitpc2) and I would keep the actual software installation.
The older pc is really stable so I prefer to keep this version of fedora.
Do you think there's a way to compile this module for this kernel version and load manually during the setup step, and then fixing in the grub boot menu?
Thank you, Davide
