This is RIPLinuX running on /dev/sdb1, a pendrive USB stick live file system, with the Bios set to GV3, the old word for frequency ladder, and RIP using the ondemand frequency ladder. What is interesting is that I am getting lipsync on France 24. But check out the screen capture.

This is RIPLinuX running on the /dev/sda3 partition of an SSD hard drive with its heat sensor decoded and supplying information to the hddtemp program. Note that the heat sensor has since risen to 37 degrees centigrade and can reach 47 degrees in equilibrium. Note also how frugal RIPLinuX is with memory use. It has 693 megabytes of ram available, no swapfile, possibly owing to its policy of setting dpi in the /usr/bin/X file, as follows:

exec /usr/bin/Xorg -dpi 100 -dpms -s 180 -ardelay 250 -arinterval 30 -nolisten tcp

For comparison, here is a z510 screen capture, with bios defaults and graphics memory set to 128, which is not too bad by comparison to Windows 7 on the same machine.
