I have now circumvented the problem by using the included HDMI to DVI adapter and a DVI cable to my external widescreen monitor. Nothing happened at first but when I changed the resolution to something else the underscaling disappeared. I now run it on "LG 2290 (Digital) on Standard VGA Video Card" at the highest resolution of 1400x1050 (4:3 aspect ratio). Everything still looks squashed vertically though, maybe because I have a 16:9 1920 x 1080 monitor. I am going to try and update the drivers to a AMD one with the ones you provided.

Please don't use any video drivers other then provided by Compulab. If you have installed/updated the vide drivers from a source then Compulab. Please purge them, and reinstall the drivers provided by Compulab
