displayport to dvi

I'm having issues getting my displayport to dvi connector getting to work on my fitpc3.
It seems there is no output to the screen from the displayport even after I changed the bios setting to HDMI Passive Adapter but still no image. I've succesfully tested the screen and the displayport to dvi cable on another device with a displayport.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
