fit-PC2i - Ubuntu install does not recognize harddrive (sdd)

Hi,

I am trying to install Ubuntu (tried 9.10 and 9.04) and hard drive is not detected. OTOH Centos installed just fine. I have read on the ubuntu forums on tip for the Kojinsha (that has the same chipset I believe) to use all_generic_ide as a boot option or to use modprobe ide_generic. The first did not make any difference and the second reported that the ide_generic module was not found.

Any help will be appreciated,
