Support for Lucid?

Post by Merhaba »

ok, April is still a bit ahead, and so is the release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - but I wonder, how long will it take to officially support that release? I don't like patching the kernel again with every new version in the repos ;)

Hmm. OK, I forgot that I just use it as a server and that others might want other stuff included as well. Sorry 'bout that.

What I referred to - so far the official lucid kernels don't have that patch for recognising the slave harddisk included, so in order to use a fit-pc2i with extra harddisk one has to patch the kernel.

Will you provide custom kernel packages for lucid which include that fix (among others)? if so - when?

Will the regular upgrade procedure be supported as well, or just fresh installs? (By support I mean a detailed explanation of the steps that need to be done for the whole upgrade process).
