The built-in Hitachi HDD is not detected at fresh install with ubuntu desktop 9.10
How did you guys manage to install it first before sending the fitpc2i to the customer ??

Is it from the pilot batch? If so you need to patch the kernel in order to get the internal hdd recognized.

One way to get around it is to connect the internal HDD using an USB-SATA connector for the install then install the fit-pc2 kernel as instructed in the wiki (http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?t ... buntu_9.10)
From reading in the forums users that have a fit-pc2i that was not from the pilot batch should not encounter this issue or need the patch, but I actually don't know...
