Hello, I would like to upgrade my fit-pc (fitpc2 linux version) to the latest ubuntu version (10.10). I understand that this is not supported by Compulab (latest official support as I understand it is 9.04 due to the graphics drivers). I wanted to try the updated gma500 driver that is provided by the ubuntu community (lucazade and friends), but this requires an updated linux kernel. I tried to update to the latest stock kernel from ubuntu, and although my fit-pc would boot, I did not have working WiFi. So, my question is, is there a way to use the ubuntu stock kernel, or some other kernel to work with the ubutnu-provided drivers? And with the new IEGD driver coming from intel?
