Re: none of ubuntu installer detects the HDD
Can you please try to load setup defaults from BIOS?
Have you tried to install Windows?

Re: none of ubuntu installer detects the HDD
Hi,
Has this been fixed?
because i've the same problem here with my FitPC2. Tried many linux distributions but none see my HDD, hitachi travelstar 60GB sata 7200RPM.
If I boot Windows 7 then the disk is visible and usable.
Distributions i've tried:
Ubuntu 9.10, 10.4, 11.x
Debian 6
Linux Mint 12
Reset the bios to default didn't help. Tried changing many bios settings none work.

Re: none of ubuntu installer detects the HDD
I had the same problem when I bought a new HDD, but solved by changing the BIOS setting. After I changed the OS setting, not exactly sure what it was called, from "DOS" to "OTHER," the installation went OK.
