Repeat reloading of Video driver:

Post by les.edgecumbe »

 win XP sp2, PC2i, Intel Graphics Media Adapter 500, Fit vga adapter.

After setting up the computer works ok.
If left for a few days (5-7) then on boot up either:
1) 'No signal' is displayed on screen. OR
2) Display is only in 4 colours.
Reloading driver 6.14.11.1009 regains normal operation and PC can be turned on/off with normal operation UNLESS left for a few days, and then the above errors occur.
Been unable to contact the supplier (Anders Electronics) for advise and would be grateful to anyone else for any guidance.
Unit is used onboard a ship and has been installed 3 times now, with a few days between set-up and install, with the above results. Expensive and frustating.
Regards,

Les.

p.s. this seems to be the only parameter that gets 'lost'.

Sorry, my bad. Can you please check if you face this problem with a clean Windows XP setup?
