I'm quite sorry to say that the Poulsbo drivers will not be in Karmic
Koala. The Poulsbo chipset has a proprietary section to the driver and
Intel has said they are not supporting Karmic Koala, so its out of my hands.

Re: Poulsbo drivers will not be in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala Sad but true We might get 2D support into the kernel tree in the future ( http://www.mail-archive.com/dri-devel@l ... 38853.html) but apparently it will be crippled since some 2D accel is dependent on the 3D binary.

Re: Poulsbo drivers will not be in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala For what it is worth, I'm happily using Ubuntu 8.04 installed from Canonical's CD, no special drivers, and regular Ubuntu-supplied updates, and the resolution is fine. I happen to be using the July BIOS.
