I'm looking to team (not bridge) the two 1G ethernet nics in the Fit-PC2i together to boost my bandwidth on my local LAN to access an already teamed NAS box. I have a Netgear GS116 Gbit switch.
What is the exact realtek nic hardware being used and does it (ie. the driver) support teaming?
I would prefer to do this on ubuntu, but windows is also an option if its possible.

The controllers are Realtek 8111c

Did some more research: the term is called "bonding" not "teaming" in the linux world for some reason. Here's how to do it, for anyone who is interested:
