Difference in USB configuration between fit-PC2 and fit-PC2i
Hello.
I'm working with a team that is working on creating an autonomous underwater vehicle. We've been using the fit-PC2 as the "brain" for the vessel but recently we've hit a pretty serious snag. The problem is that we are using two USB 2.0 cameras and they are not working properly because they get connected to the same USB root hub. After analyzing the problem we found out that there seems to be only one USB 2.0 root hub in the fit-PC2. The rest are 1.1 hubs that are not sufficient for the cameras.
So my question is whether upgrading to the fit-PC2i will solve this for us? Does it have more USB 2.0 root hubs?
Kind regards, Stefan Freyr.

Hi Stefan,
There was an other poster that had found the same thing yesterday and I asked which ports are connected to the 2.0 hub. Do you know the answer to that?
Cheers, Per

The US15W in fit-PC2/i has a single EHCI (USB2 480Mbps) controller / root hub supporting the all 8 ports and 3 UHCI USB1.1 each supporting 2 ports.

Hi Irads,
Do you also know the answer to my question, i.e. which hub is connected to which port.
fit-PC2: Looking from the back we have 4 ports. Lets call them; TL (top left), TR (top right), BL (bottom left), BR (bottom right). Looking from the front we have 2 mini ports. Lets call them; ML (mini left), MR (mini right)
The US15W has 4 controllers. Lets call them; EHCI-A (2.0), UHCI-A (1.1), UHCI-B (1.1), UHCI-C (1.1), UHCI-D (1.1)
How are they connected? I.e TL=EHCI-A, TR=EHCI-A, etc.
Cheers, Per

Hi. According to our experiments there seems to be no such direct hardware wiring. It didn't matter what port we used, our USB 1.1 devices always ended up on one of the 1.1 hubs while 2.0 devices ended up on the 2.0 hub. I don't know what it is but there seems to be some "logic" routing the devices to the "correct" controller.

All ports are EHCI 480 Mbps The back right (U11) are port 0,1 UHCI The back left (U12) are port 3,4 UHCI Front right (P1) is port 2 UHCI Front left (P2) is port 5 (EHCI only)
