Regarding issues on FIT-PC

Post by Niranjan »

We have deployed a fit-pc on industrial application. But we are facing 2 major issues.
1)Whenever there is a power loss the device is turned off and when the power comes back, the machine is not booting at all sometimes(30% accuracy). It is showing "operating system not found".It is showing "failed to load PXE ROM".

2)If at all the device boots up it is failing to recognize the usb devices connected to it.Sometimes it shows as connected and sometimes it detects.
These are the major issues that we are facing and because of this uor deployment is delayed.
Please consider this and oblige

Hello

Do you use boot from LAN option, or your OS installed on internal HDD?

I have the same problem. I am running Ubuntu Server 9.10 and sometimes if I reboot, "No Operating System found" error message is displayed. I couldn't get it up and running anymore, needed re-install.

We also have it in production environment and the bug/problem is very critical.

Hi Juha

I would like to ask you the same question: have you usb devices attached to the FitPC2 that their overall current drain exceed 1.5A or more then 0.5A from a single usb port?

Thanks

I have one usb (rs486 adapter) device attached. But I don't know how much it drains.

Please try to attach the adapter to a self powered USB hub
