fit-PC as a server
The key of a good server is reliability and availability. fit-PC has no fans, has its CPU, memory and NIC's soldered on-board and runs very cool at only 3-5W. The benefits are very high reliability, no maintenance and very low operation cost. In a case of power failure, fit-PC will continue to run over 30 times longer than a traditional PC on the same UPS.
If space is at a premium, you can still fit in a fit-PC. At 116x120x40 mm, you can fit dozens of fit-PC's in a 1U rack.
With dual Ethernet, Linux and Windows XP support, there is no limit to the services fit-PC can provide – whether it's a LAMP server, e-mail server, proxy or firewall – if you have the software, fit-PC can run it.
