fit-PC Slim Diskless is a cost effective solution for applications that require a different hard disk than the standard one offered with fit PC Slim Linux.

If you consider using use fit-PC Slim as a music or video server you may purchase Diskless and install a large hard disk. Just make sure to purchase an ATA 2.5" hard disk (not SATA).

For extra ruggedness, wider temperature range, even lower power consumption and absolutely silent system some fit-PC Slim users prefer to install solid state based storage. You can complete fit-PC Slim Diskless with one of these storage devices:
  • A USB thumb drive
  • 2.5" ATA SSD
  • IDE 44 to CompactFlash adapter + CF card

fit-PC Slim can boot from any of these devices.
