How To Install Windows XP

Before installing Windows make sure that BIOS setting
[Feature Configuration] -> [AtaMassStorage] is set to Disabled
If AtaMassStorage is enabled - it may cause Windows not to install and/or boot correctly.

Installing Windows XP

  • Connect USB CDROM
  • Configure BIOS in "Basic CMOS Configuration" for 
Drive C = Ide 0/Primary Master 
Boot 1st = CDROM
  • On boot, El-Torito boot device is detected, fit-PC boots from CD and Windows XP setup starts
  • Follow standard setup instructions
  • After setup completes you may disconnect USB CD and restore "Boot 1st" setting in BIOS to "Drive C"
  • Update Windows XP video and audio drivers
