Hi, ive used ubuntu 8.04 for some time and i hoped that the "jumpy" picture problems would go away (the whole screen jumps some pixels to one side even when just reading websites) But it is way worse in 9.10. Its flickering all the time. I followed the advice here in the forums on how to install the...

Re: Are you preparing for Karmic Koala 9.10?
Hi,
there are already reports out that gma500 support works with these patches:
http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showpost. ... stcount=13
ive tried it, but i only get a fast flickering. could you provide a workaround to get the gfx card running?
2d support would be great.
thx in advance

Re: New repository for fit-PC2
Ah, thx denis for pointing me to this page. googling around shows you the "ubuntu mobile ppa" before this one pops up. first of all, im very impressed to see 1080p movies playing fluid. with 720p its also possible to see them via an sshfs mount. very nice. found one problem though: sometimes my scre...

low audio volume
Hi,
alsa shows me master/pcm/front. turning them all to 100% does result in a really loud volume. imho it sounds like half the power of my old sb live - which is quite old now.
is the audio volume limited for some reason?
