Fit-PC2 - No audio windows xp
Posted: Mon Feb 11, 2013 6:33 pm
Hello Admins,
I have a Fit-PC2 which has lost it's audio out of the headphone jack on the back. The specs for my PC is:
D1G-C1600-W
H250-XL
It is currently running a BIOS from 2010. I have reinstalled the driver but I am running out of ideas. Can anyone help?
[EDIT]
I should elaborate a little...
This box was working fine and is being used as part of a digital signage system that I installed. There are 2 identical units but this one just stopped working after a reboot last week . It had been running fine for over 6 months.
I have tried to roll back the BIOS to
24-Dec-2009
31-Aug-2009
21-Jul-2009
As I noticed that someone else had a similar problem but this has not restored the audio.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the Realtek HD audio driver upto R2.49 and this does not restore audio.
When I run the realtek audio page the playback device is not present as if it has not been installed properly!
I have of course triple checked that I am using the headphone socket but no audio even with my iphone earphones.
Please can someone advise me on a way to retore this as it is for one of my best customers and I really don't want this to ruin any chance of repeat business.
Many thanks
Regards
Steve
[Edit2]
I have now just reinstalled windows XP and I can now select the Realtek HD Audio Output from the mixer TAB but I do not get any anologue stereo output from the headphone socket.
Please can support help me out.
[Edit3]
Ok I can't wait for support here. I came to the simple conclusion that I should just buy a soundblaster USB audio card and it worked straight out of the box. Problem solved.
Although this is far from the best solution I can recommend it to anybody else who might find themselves in a sticky situation.
