Merging VBIOS . orom with BIOS .rom

Post by serge230 »

I'm using EMGD driver 1.18 in Windows 10 with Fit-PC2 (2Ghz/2GB)
http://edc.intel.com/Software/Downloads/EMGD/
All that (driver) was installed/adjusted and works perfect!
The Intel® EMGD Configuration Editor (CED) allows to adjust properly 1.18 driver to my monitor, as well as to adjust properly VBIOS.
EMGD CED produce VBIOS file xxx.orom which shall be then merged with xxx.rom -system BIOS file I have from Compulab.

To be able to merge Fit-pc2 BIOS (.rom) file with so called optional ROM (.orom) file of VBIOS, built with\by CED, I need some instructions from PC manufacturer.
Please help.
Thank you in advance

How to integrate video BIOS file into the motheboard's system BIOS based on Phoenix OR how to get romless video card work:

Thanks to you, YES! It's possible! :-)
I have tried the way you suggested, and have successfully merged fit-PC BIOS ROM (latest I have 12-05-2010), with my VBIOS optional ROM (built with Intel Gold IEMGD GMA500 1.18 CED). I've renamed my VBIOS optional ROM section (to OPOROM02.ROM), and add it to DEVEL34X ROM as OPTION ROM using PHOENIX BIOS Editor. Received new DEVEL34X.ROM (with my VBIOS section) was then loaded with standard BIOS update procedure recommended by Compulab.
Everything works EXCELLENT!
Now I have fully functional BIOS support for Intel Gold IEMGD GMA500 1.18 Driver, specially adjusted for my touch monitor XENARC 1022TSH in Windows 10 (1607).
Now Win10 can, also, successfully execute RESTART of fit-PC2, either automatically during Win-update, or manually
