well a update again.

its still premature but today the first night the system did not crash.

when tomorrow its stil working i am going to install software back onto it to see what software is causing this problem.
and then i hoop its not fitpc2 related ;-) and i have a nice 24/7 server that i can rely on.

back to this to myself posting topic

virus software not yet crashing my remote control so i dont think it was the virus software.
i am now going to connect my external usb harddrive again
its not usb powered but a 3,5inch external hd case with ofcourse ( its a 3,5 inch drive and not a 2,.5 inch ) own power supply.

lets see what happens.

ok this is strange

the drive is connected for a while and now i get a message that files written to drive E ( the external drive ) are lost because of a hardware failure
i can also no longer acces the drive.

edit
when i want to disconned the drive using the save hardware removable icon on the right bar of the screen then nothing happens and the drive letter stay's acttive.

edit 2
i powered down the fitpc2 and then powered it up again
my usbn is no longer showing.
reconnecting the usb is not working
i needed to disconnect the power of the usb drive to get it working again.

i dont have these problems when this drive is connected to other pc and i have this usb case for years now already running 24/7 without problems.

bios setting already set to only... should i disable it al togheter?

When fit-PC2 is turned off USB is still powered. Maybe the disk USB controller some-how entered an unknown state where only power cycling of the disk resets it back to normal.

well i got the error yesterday and lost the drive inside windows
now after 1 night its stil running.
can it maybe have something to do with large file transfers?

There is no known issue with file transfers when C-states are disabled (GV3 only in BIOS) as in your case.
