So what? It's a miniature PC, not a machine to break speed records. Typical 2,5" SATA drives will be slower than the interface limit, and even if you put a SSD in, it's unlikely that you'll notice that it doesn't work at it's full speed.
Just trying to explain that it doesn't matter which type the interface was.
Because it still would only be as fast as Pata.
And Sata2 is backwards compatible, so any sata disk works.

Why fit-pc2 doesn't have native SATA?

Because it's not part of the Intel US15W chipset...

Which is the answer to many of the "why doesn't this computer have a ___?" type questions.

There's no space or power to add more chips to this computer. It could have feature X, Y, or Z, but then it would be bigger, draw more power, generate more heat, and require a fan.... at which point, it's "just another box" instead of having the very features that make it unique.
