mintbox mini: serial? gpio?

Post by pgf »

i'm confused by the specifications for the mintbox mini.

the photos show the front and back panel openings to be identical to those of the fitlet-i and fitlet-x:

this implies the COM port and gpio access are present.

the "In the Box" section of the specs for the mintbox-mini includes the mini-serial to DB9 adapter, also implying serial support.

but: in the specifications list itself, both the "Special I/O" and "Serial" are listed as "N/A". "Remote Power Button" is also "N/A".

can someone confirm whether or not the gpio, serial, and remote power button facilities exist on the mini?

Serial and GPIO are officially not included in MintBox Mini. Some production batches may incorporate these features due to manufacturing optimization considerations. Better not assume that these features will stay in future production batches.

the collateral material on the website should be fixed -- it's very misleading.
