incomplete documentation

I bought a filet XA10 lan barebone.

in the packaging a separately packaged small metal plate with black pad was there

for what should be the good :?:

That's the mSATA heat sink.

If you are using a SD/SDHC/SDXC instead, you don't need it.
Plus some mSATA SSDs don't get that hot.

But, you are right they should have some instructions on both what is
included. And how to use it.
