Vmware EXSi on IPC3

Post by beedix »

Anybody attempted to put a bare metal hypervisor on the IPC3? My first attempt was a crash, but I'm not completely surprised given the partially embedded nature.

Would be curious to hear if others are trying to do essentially this.

Hello,

Our engineers have successfully installed VMware ESXi 6.5.0 (Kernel Release Build 4887370) on IPC3 [BIOS Version IPC3K.PRD.0.25.4], default BIOS settings.

Look up VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.5.0-4887370.x86_64.iso

Install instructions is here: http://www.virten.net/2014/12/howto-cre ... ash-drive/

That’s great! Can you relink the VMware iso? Seems your link is mapped to a drive and we won’t be able to download it.
