Changing Bios settings for graphics memory, and for power

I saw a youtube video of somebody changing the bios on their Mint Box Mini 1.
They changed the power settings from 4500 to 8500 causing the machine to run faster, but hotter.
They changed the amount of ram reserved for graphics to 1 GB.
I tried to do this on my Mint Box Mini 2 pro, but had some trouble.
I could not find a comparable power setting to modify, and I did not want to go about randomly changing stuff in the bios without knowing exactly what it was.
As for graphics ram reservation, there seemed to be two settings.
One was at 64 MB, I changed that to its max, 512 MB.
The other was at 256 MB and the only higher setting was "Max", so I changed it to Max.
I have 8 GB ram, so I figured I could assign more to graphics and get better graphics performance.
After the changes, there is only 7.19 GB ram available, which is less than before. (I forget what it shipped at, something around 7.7 GB.) So it seems more ram is available for the graphics. Still not sure on the difference between the two settings.
Any thoughts or suggestions on graphics ram bios settings, or on power bios settings?
