screensaver disabled but stil working? embed driverinstalled

i got the following problem
when i disable the screen saver in windows and also the energie saver set to never the system still go's to the standaard windows xp logo screen saver.
i am trying to find out if its windows installation related problem or its because of the embedded driver installation?
any one can try this with the embedded driver to see even if the screen saver is disabled
when this screen saver is operational i also got no longer acces the pc
but the logo is still changing location so the pc did not crash.
