HDMI Audio

Post by gordyf »

I apologize if this is answered elsewhere. Does the HDMI output include audio, or is it just video? Also, is the line-out analog only?

Thank you!

The Fit-PC2 output is DVI - Digital.
Usage of the HDMI connector is because it is much smaller than the bulky DVI one. Another reason is that HDMI and DVI are compatible in the video signaling.
The Fit-PC2 does not transfer audio trough the HDMI connector.

You can:
1. Connect a Digital DVI monitor using the supplied adapter.
2. Connect to an HDMI TV, but without sound. For sound you should add another cable and route it form the audio output of the Fit-PC2 to the TV audio-in.

You cannot:
1. No connection to an ANALOG-only DVI screen (which is actually a VGA in disguise)
2. No connection to a VGA screen
In order to use one of these 2, you must use an expansive DVI-VGA converter.
